Shodoshima is nationally known as the birthplace of Japanese olive.
In 2008, the 100th anniversary for olive grass establishment in Shodoshima, "Olive Food Industry Board" was established for the purpose of the regional improvement of Shodoshima nucleating olive.
Our missions are as follows:
- the establishment of healthier gastronomic culture keeping the olive features
- the expansion of secure and safe olive cultivation.
